Ultimate and fun tank game tutorial! Noob-)Pro
Alright, so you just joined Tank Game for the first time.
You spawn in, look around, and there's already some dude flying across the map with about 50 bullets following him.
You're probably thinking, "What am I even supposed to do?"
Don't worry. I was confused too.
So in this video, I'm basically going to explain Tank Game from the beginning, without making it sound like a boring tutorial.
We'll go over how to level up, what stats you should use, how tank upgrades work, how to get stronger, when you should actually fight people, and probably the most important thing...
How to stop dying every two minutes.
When you first spawn, don't immediately go after another player.
Seriously.
I know it's tempting.
You see someone and you're like, "Yeah, I can take him."
Then about five seconds later, you're back at spawn wondering what just happened.
Instead, start by shooting the stuff around the map.
That is the easiest way to get XP when you're starting out.
Just keep moving around, shoot whatever you can, and level up.
The more XP you get, the stronger you become, and once you start getting upgrades, the game gets way more interesting.
Now, when you level up, you're going to get stat points.
And this is where you need to be a little careful.
Don't just put one point into every stat because you don't know what else to do.
I used to think that was a good idea.
It wasn't.
You're better off focusing on a few stats that actually help your tank.
For a beginner, Bullet Damage and Bullet Health are pretty useful because your bullets are going to be doing more damage and lasting longer.
You can also put some points into Max HP and Fire Rate and health regen depending on how you want to play.
But there's not really one build that's perfect for every tank.
That's something you'll figure out as you play.
Some tanks are better for damage, some are better for defense, and some are just ridiculously fast.
So don't be scared to experiment.
Now let's talk about tank upgrades.
This is probably one of the things I wish I knew when I first started.
When you get the option to upgrade your tank, don't just pick something because it looks cool.
Actually look at where that upgrade leads.
Because if you're trying to get a certain tank later, choosing the wrong tank can mess up the whole thing.
And then you're sitting there like:
"Wait... where's the tank I wanted?"
Yeah.
Not fun.
So if there's a tank you're trying to get, figure out the path to it before you start leveling.
Now, one of the best ways to level up is just farming.
And by farming, I mean going around destroying the objects that give you XP.
Try to find areas where there are lots of things close together.
That way you're not wasting time driving around looking for one tiny thing to shoot.
Just keep moving and keep shooting.
And while you're doing that, stay aware of your surroundings
Because eventually you're going to see another player.
And this is where you have to decide:
Do I fight them, or do I leave?
And honestly, most of the time when you're a beginner...
leave.
If the other player is obviously stronger than you, don't try to be a hero.
You're probably not going to magically win.
And even if you almost kill them, they might have a friend come over and destroy you.
So before you attack someone, look at their tank and think about whether you actually have a chance.
If you do, go for it.
If you don't...
just keep farming.
There's always going to be another player.
Another thing that makes a HUGE difference is movement.
Please don't just sit there.
If you're standing still and shooting, you're basically making yourself an easy target.
Keep moving around while you're fighting.
Try not to move in the exact same pattern every time.
And if someone is chasing you, don't panic.
Just focus on getting away.
Sometimes you're going to run into a player who is way stronger than you.
That's normal.
You don't have to beat everyone you see.
If someone is chasing you and you know you can't win, just run.
And don't turn around every two seconds to try and get one extra shot.
That's how you end up getting destroyed.
Speaking of getting destroyed...
Let's talk about greed.
This is probably one of the easiest ways to throw a fight.
You see a player with almost no health left.
You're thinking:
"I can definitely get him."
So you chase them.
And chase them.
And chase them.
Then suddenly another tank comes out of nowhere and destroys you.
You went from winning the fight to being completely finished because you got greedy.
If someone gets away, let them go.
You don't need every kill.
Sometimes surviving is the better play.
As you get better at Tank Game, you're going to start understanding which fights are worth taking.
You'll start recognizing different tanks.
You'll notice when someone has a really strong build.
You'll learn what your own tank is good at.
And that's when the game gets a lot more fun.
Because you're not just randomly shooting anymore.
You're actually thinking about what you're doing.
A beginner might see someone and think:
"Can I kill them?"
A better player thinks:
"Should I even fight them?"
That's a big difference.
So if you're completely new, just focus on the basics.
Farm XP. Upgrade your stats. Learn your tank.
And definitely “Pay attention to your upgrade path”.
Don't fight people who are obviously stronger.
And don't chase someone halfway across the map just because they're low health.
You're going to lose sometimes.
You're going to make bad builds.
You're going to choose an upgrade and immediately regret it.
And you're definitely going to get destroyed by someone who looks like they've been playing for 400 years.
That's just Tank Game.
But if you keep playing, you'll slowly get better.
Eventually, you'll spawn into a server and actually know what you're doing.
And instead of being the person asking,
"Why is everyone so strong?"
you'll be the person making everyone else think:
"Who is this guy?"
So yeah...
That's basically everything you need to know when you're starting Tank Game.
Now stop reading and start playing
